Galapagos Islands Land Tours

Two hundred years ago, Charles Darwin had no choice but to tour the Galapagos by boat. Today Red Mangrove offers you the thrill of touring the Galapagos while staying in the comfort of our ecologically integrated and stylish lodges. Our action packed, land based programs will take you to three islands through the mysteries of time. Surround yourself in water and savor what is above it. Experience what the earth looked like before man walked the planet.

We offer unforgettable four,  five, six and eight day Galapagos Islands land tours as well as daily dive and custom tours. Our Darwin triangle tour, begins the moment you step off the plane and ferry across the channel to Santa Cruz Island, to check in at our Beautiful Lodge. In the afternoon, our experienced guide will take you to visit the giant tortoises and the incredible volcanic craters on the highlands

In the afternoon we have the chance to relax, explore the bustling town of Puerto Ayora and relax on the waterfront deck with the sea, lions and pelicans for company.

Next is one of the highlights of any Galapagos tour - the chance to kayak in the Itabaca Channel and witness the marine life from above the water under our own paddle power. After lunch we then head to the largest of the islands -Isabela.  The next day Sierra Negra is a real highlight! Four-wheel drive vehicles will drive us up to the highlands that are the slopes of the volcano. Here we will hike to continue our journey. After a gorgeous walk, we marvel to the expanse of the caldera of the Sierra Negra, the second largest caldera in the world!

Returning to Red Mangrove Isabela Lodge we'll have a free afternoon. Our deck, overlooking over the beautiful white sand beach, is a picture perfect place to relax. On our final morning,we will take to the water once more to visit the unique setting of Tintoreras - home to hundreds of juvenile marine iguanas, basking white tipped reef sharks and plentiful sea lions this is place that will live in your memory for ever.

Afternoon and it's time to set sail back to Santa Cruz. After lunch at the lodge we'll head off for a final visit, a guided tour of the Charles Darwin research station, where you'll learn about conservation efforts in the Galapagos Islands. We at Red Mangrove know how privileged we are to share the responsibility of being global gardens of one of the most unique and fragile eco systems on earth. We make every effort to operate all our lodges according to principles of sustainability.

The Galapagos are not only unique but one of the few destinations on earth where guests do not have to give up refinement, amenities, or adventure in order to be in harmony with the environment. We invite you to join us on an unforgettable Galapagos Island tour with Red Mangrove.
