Naomi West - North America Sales Naomi West grew up traveling and playing in the outdoors. After graduating from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, she moved to Hollywood where she worked as an actor for seven years. While there, she also fell in love with Ashtanga yoga. After several years acting in film, television and national commercials, she was ready for a new journey. She spread her wings and flew to Japan to work for the Japanese corporation AEON. She spent two-and-a-half years there, learned Japanese, explored much of Asia, and found her life much enriched by many wonderful people. She came back to the U.S. to attend the graduate Communication and Leadership studies program at Gonzaga University where she is pursuing her Masters Degree. In 2011, at the height of the Libyan crisis, she took a break from school and traveled to Timisoara, Romania to work in a refugee center with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Now back in her hometown of beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and working evenings on her degree, she has joined Red Mangrove to lead our North American sales office. She was recently in Ecuador and on a Galapagos Island tour and is eager and ready to help you plan your vacation to this amazing part of the world. |

Monica Paez - Lodges Manager Monica was born in Quito, though she now spends her time at Red Mangrove lodges. Monica holds degrees in Hotel Administration and Tourism with a license as a Naturalist Guide. She has been with the lodges from 2010. Monica has spent time in Brazil and Ecuador working on managing and maintaining ecotourism in zones that are vulnerable. She is fluent in English, Portuguese, and French. Her other interests lie in music by studying composition and music production. She has also spent time studying Mediterranean and Thai cuisine. |

Fernanda Manosalvas - Sales Coordinator Fernanda Manosalvas was also born in Quito, but bases her life out of Cuenca at Red Mangrove's office center. Her education background is in engineering in tourism. She has a passion for the outdoors, as well as an enjoyment for planning trips for all customers. Rafeal Gallardo - Diving Operations Coordinator and Diving Instructor Rafael is our resident Padi Divemaster and Instructor with specialty course options like Nitrox, Underwater Photography, Deep Diving, Drift Diving, Gas Blender, Dry Suit, EFR, and Oxygen Provider. Rafael was born in Santa Cruz, Galapagos, Ecuador, but has been diving only since 2001 in the Galapagos. Our expert has plenty to teach you on a Galapagos diving tour, with his added experience in other parts of South American and the Egyptian Red Sea. He enjoys surfing, sailing, and kayaking when he has spare time. |
